Dianne has over fifteen years media research experience, having originally started her career at Newcastle Chronicle & Journal. Since then she has worked in various newspapers including The Scottish Daily Record & Sunday Mail, the niche Scottish Business newspaper, Business a.m., and currently The Scotsman Publications in Edinburgh.
Her career has also included some time working with both CACI and Experian, where she gained considerable experience in database management and customer segmentation techniques.
Having spent most of her time working within the Research Departments of newspapers, Dianne has vast experience of developing Sales Support Programmes for Advertising, whilst also being heavily involved in strategic research studies, both for specific titles and on the wider media industry. In her current role, Dianne is responsible for the provision of a research and information support service to the whole organisation, focusing on commercial revenue generation, product development and customer communication.
As Chairperson of the RMRF, Dianne is actively involved in helping to promote best practice in research to the UK’s regional press industry.
